Great question, and one we get a lot before anyone hits submit. The short version is: we take the boring costs out first, then we split what’s left.
When a buyer pays, the system automatically strips the actual costs tied to that sale. That covers things like download hosting and delivery fees, payment processing, and (if it’s a poster) the print and shipping costs. Whatever is left after those real costs come out is the pot we split. You get 80% of that remaining amount. We keep 20%.
So you’re not paying platform fees on top, and you’re not losing a chunk before your percentage is worked out. The costs come off the top, then your 80% is calculated on the clean figure. Every sale adds to your balance automatically, and you can see the breakdown in your dashboard so nothing feels hidden. Simple, transparent, and built so the more your sets sell, the more your balance grows. 🦶💖
